It is 2 AM and I am standing at the crosswalk on the corner of 5th avenue. As I walk towards 42nd St. I notice Times Square is quiet tonight.

It is not silent, mind you – no, the “city that never sleeps” could never be silent. It is 3 AM and the gaudy charmer still churns, twists, flashes its vitality of energy and movement – “You CANNOT miss this show! Buy your tickets now!” Coca-Cola sign, M&M's World, Barclays, Macys, laughter bubbles cold winter “would you mind taking a picture of us?” girls in pink uniforms flash-dance camera in front of a set with Ryan Seacrest. Jenny McCarthy sizzles in front of a 100 flashing cameras a feet away; Pretzels, Mary Poppins, Starbucks; grande skinny vanilla lattes, smoke from cigarettes, American Eagle . . .all and yet, Times Square is quiet.

I stand here – in the midst of all the bustle, honking, explosive color and lights – and the world suddenly blurs, its violent contrast abruptly muted to an almost harmonious hum.

And in the pulse that remains along its softened edges, I find what I have been searching.

“There is nothing to writing. You just sit down and bleed” - Ernest Hemingway

It's My Day!!

Is it today or tomorrow that I turn 31 years old? In any case not really a milestone marker, but I am pretty danged proud of myself for making it this far! And since it's my birthday, my gift to you, the outside world that is still plugged into the grid, is to let you see that I still haven't managed free myself from the matrix.

I was born on the 16th of December, in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. Today is the 15th of December in Washington DC, USA. At the same time it is already the 16th of December in Sri Lanka. Hence seeing I was born in Sri Lanka would I not have already lived my 30 years?

Of course this is important as it means I get to open my presents today. I am told I am have some cool things awaiting me (looks like I will never free myself from the matrix)! I tried to die on the past Wednesday. Not really on purpose. I went and played with my dogs in the park that late afternoon after returning from work. While I suffered no contact induced injuries, I seem to have forgotten in my senile old age to stretch ahead of time, and to maybe take it a bit easier than I did when I was 16. I ended up with a knot in my thigh, and strained something in my lower calf (all in my right leg), resulting in me limping thru the entirety of that night, and only today feeling 100% again. I was sure they were going to have to haul me off and put me down, like a horse with a broken leg. I also destroyed my very expensive $5 walmart special shoes. Not entirely, but when I took the shoes off I had some light greenish foamy powder residue all over my socks, all over my feet underneath the socks, and even more inside the shoes themselves. I don't know what it was, but something inside disintegrated into a fine powder. I'm sure if my mom was here she will blame my nasty feet and their odor for killing the shoes...she may be right, I really don't know.

Anyways, the birthday celebration is set for this upcoming Saturday night in NY. If you can't make it, you may send cash in the amount of $500 in your stead. I'll be sure to make sure the money feels right at home with me.

Not much else to say at this point...so I'll shove off and go get my breakfast...

It's My Day!!

Aruna gazed out over the Arabian Sea, feeling the faint breeze against her face - eyes shut, the white sand warm between her bare toes. The place was beautiful beyond belief, but it was still unable to ease the grief she felt as she remembered the last time she had been here.

She had married Ram right here on this spot three years ago to the day. Dressed in a simple, yet elegantly embroided purple saree, miniature red roses attempting to tame her long dark curls, Aruna had been happier than she had ever thought possible. Ram was even less traditional but utterly irresistible in creased cotton dhoti and a loose white cotton shirt. His dark hair slightly ruffled and his eyes full of adoration as his looked at his bride to be. The Vaishnav Guru read their vows as they held hands and laughed at the sheer joy of being young, in love and staying in a five star resort in Mumbai of India. They had seen the years blissfully stretching ahead of them, together forever. They planned their children, two she said, he said four so they compromised on three (two girls and a boy of course); where they would live, the traveling they would do together - it was all certain, so they had thought then.

But that seemed such a long time ago now. A lot can change in just a few years - a lot of heartache can change a person and drive a wedge through the strongest ties, break even the deepest love. Three years to the day and they had returned, though this time not for the unconventional beach side marriages but for one of its equally unpopular quickie divorces.

Aruna let out a sigh that was filled with pain and regret. What could she do but move on, find a new life and new dreams? - the old one was beyond repair. How could this beautiful place, with its lush green coastline, eternity of azure blue sea and endless sands be a place for the agony she felt now?

The man stood watching from the edge of the palm trees in the Sagar Upavan Park. He couldn't take his eyes of the dark-haired woman he saw standing at the water's edge, gazing out to sea as though she was waiting for something - or someone. She was beautiful, with her slim figure dressed in a loose flowing cotton dress, her crazy hair and eyes not far off the colour of the sea itself. It wasn't her looks that attracted him though; he came across many beautiful women in his work as a freelance photographer. It was her loneliness and intensity that lured him. Even at some distance he was aware that she was different from any other woman he could meet.

Aruna sensed the man approaching even before she turned around. She had been aware of him standing there staring at her and had felt strangely calm about being observed. She looked at him and felt the instant spark of connection she had only experienced once before. He walked slowly towards her and they held each other's gaze. It felt like meeting a long lost friend - not a stranger on a strange beach side park.

Later, sitting at one of the many restaurants in the city, sipping the local chai they began to talk. First pleasantries, their hotels, the quality of the food and friendliness of the locals. Their conversation was strangely hesitant considering the naturalness and confidence of their earlier meeting. Onlookers, however, would have detected the subtle flirtation as they mirrored each other's actions and spoke directly into each other's eyes. Only later, after the small talk had had its loosening effect, did the conversation deepen. They talked of why they were here and finally, against her judgement, Aruna opened up about her heartache of the past year and how events had led her back to the place where she had married the only man she believed she could ever love. She told him of things that had been locked deep inside her, able to tell no one. She told him how she had felt after she had lost her baby.

She was six months pregnant and the happiest she had ever been when the pains had started. She was staying with her mother as Ram was working out of town. He hadn't made it back in time. The doctor had said it was just one of those things, that they could try again. But how could she when she couldn't even look Ram in the eye. She hated him then, for not being there, for not hurting as much as her but most of all for looking so much like the tiny baby boy that she held for just three hours before the took him away. All through the following months she had withdrawn from her husband, family, friends. Not wanting to recover form the pain she felt - that would have been a betrayal of her son. At the funeral she had refused to stand next to her husband and the next day she had left him.

Looking up, Aruna could see her pain reflected in the man's eyes. For the first time in months she didn't feel alone, she felt the unbearable burden begin to lift from her, only a bit but it was a start. She began to believe that maybe she had a future after all and maybe it could be with this man, with his kind hazel eyes, wet with their shared tears.

They had come here to dissolve their marriage but maybe there was hope. Aruna stood up and took Ram by the hand and led him away from the restaurant towards the beech where they had made their vows to each other three years ago. Tomorrow she would cancel the divorce; tonight they would work on renewing their promises.

26 Years of MILO and today I declare, I'm totally addicted to this delicious drink. I just can't get enough of it! I don’t know about you, but I love the taste of MILO mixed with milk (hot or cold) as well as eaten off the spoon, directly from the container! I remember as a child heaping 2 or 3 big tablespoons full of MILO into my cup, stirring in some milk and then adding some extra MILO onto the top, so I could end up with the chocolate mustache, like the boy in the MILO advertisement on TV. Umm, what fond thoughts of this chocolaty goodness!?

When I was a kid in Singapore, I was obsessed with MILO NUGGETS, MILO BAR, MILO CAN, MILO, MILO and MILO EVERYTHING!!!! Nothing's changed. I still buy packets of MILO NUGGETS, boxes of MILO BARS and cans of MILO POWDER!!!

BTW, any other fans of this chocolate malt drink that "brings out the champion in you"? LOL Not my words, but their famous slogan over the years.

Why this kolaveri kolaveri kolaveri di?? Goes this song, it is simply incredibly, amazingly a catchy phrase. The casual singing style of Dhanush does the much needed attention of the "flop" song. With catchy rhythm arrangements it is indeed a perfect "soup song".

You may listen to it together with your love, or all by yourself, you will have moments of pure pleasure! Undoubtedly.

IMHO, The songs is a hit beacuse it is not a wanna be pop song, but it’s about our audience, it understands it's important to use the kind of words that they can understand.

Here is yet another few favorite lines by Oriah!

It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us
to be careful
to be realistic
to remember the limitations of being human.

p/s Once I again I declare; It shook me. Not the kind of shake you forget about in the morning, the kind that stays in your bones for days reminding you of the very moment it happened. So, go on and read her book for your self!

The author of the blog is Mandi Schmitt, one of my employees sister who makes extraordinary trips across the globe. She is now in India, and I must say that her blog is for readers/writers that understands what one might go through in trying to get that travel experience out of his/her subconscious. The blog is refreshing in many ways.

I am not recommending because she is in India now but because she writes with captivating passion and most of all being true to herself. So, go on and start reading it for your self here:

7am Arivu

| Thursday, October 27, 2011
Explore..
A R Murugadoss attempts to chronicle the life of Bodhidharma (Surya), a Buddhist Monk from the 5th/6th century, a leading patriarch and transmitter of Zen who hails from Kanchipuram and a Tamilan! Did he succeed? I guess one will have to wait to see the mass medias' reaction before ruling it out. However, IMHO, he didn't fail miserably.

7am Arivu starts off like a documentary and ends like one too except everything else in the middle. I am not a fan of A R Murugadoss, in fact, I was furious at him for tying to rip off Memento (Christopher Nolan) in the name of Ghajini failing miserably as he did not even understand the original.

Here, ARM gets inspired by his and many other young and aspiring directors/actors Godfather, Mr. Kamal Haasan. Anyone who has seen Dasavathaaram will be able to see the resemblance. Bio-war, Chasing a Virus, evoking a Hero from the past to save the planet, money hungry Professor and villains interest in the commercial profit of the life demolishing germ compound are all the common elements of the two.

Like Dasavathaaram, 7am Arivu opens in a non-traditional fashion (for Mass South Indian cinema) with a preface that recounts the Pallava dynasty, and the surroundings of Kanchi, to a land that is at the height of both martial and medical prowess. In Dasavathaaram, Kamal draws a parallel between Rangarajan Nambi and Vincent Poovaragan (apart from the more obvious adversarial relation between Govind and Rangarajan), both of whom go down fighting for their principles and what they think is the meaning of their existence. In 7am Arivu, ARM brings together Aravind (Surya), a circus artist and Bodhidharma casing Proprioception Deficit Disorder, also known as Sack's Syndrome which is a complete and total failure of the body’s knowledge of itself. Both the movies tries to breakdown the complex Chaos Theory in a movie form. 7am Arivu would have been a better film if only the screenplay did not abandon the scientific credibility of the subject it took in the beginning towards the fag end to give way to a commercial climax action sequence. Enough said!

Moving on to performance, Surya's (as Bodhidharma and Aravind) performance has made 7am Arivu a successful movie. He has come a long way from his earlier movies and seems to be learning quick and steady. I hope to one day see him reach the acting heights of Kamal, Karthick and Raghuvaran.

Shruthi Haasan may not impress phenomenally with her Tamil debut, but she sure has acting in here genes! And, coincidentally, the film also deals with how abilities are carried forth through generations by genes.

Ravi K Chandran’s cinematography proves that nature is marvelous and mysterious. He proves that in the right kind of eyes/hands, nature presents herself as one of the most fabulous works of art ever wrought. One can see that every frame was carefully constructed, especially in the initial 20 minutes or so. Same can be said about the art too. The visual effects also are a treat to watch, except for a few instances in a fight sequence right in the heart of the city.

Harris Jeyaraj’s tunes may have already delighted you, but do not expect the same with his BGM except a few places. Moreover, the songs are thrust onto the narration.

Overall, if you do not have any expectation for the movie like myself, it will not fail you. However do understand the capacity of the director of the movie!!!

The Adjustment Bureau

| Sunday, October 23, 2011
Explore..
PS: If you have not seen/read The Adjustment Bureau (movie) please do so before continuing or you may miss to see some similarities compared. Nevertheless my point is pretty darn clear!

"What about free will?" bursts Damon, in a fit of bewilderment. Terence explanation to that (in the movie of course) is that they've tried free will, but humans have a tendency to screw things up when left to their own devices. "We (the adjustment bureau) brought you to the height of the Roman Empire", explains a deadpan Terrence Stamp. "Then, we stepped back. We watched as you destroyed yourselves; the fall of the Roman Empire, the dark ages. Then we came back in, and gave you the Renaissance, the Enlightenment. Then in 1910, we stepped back again, and watched you descend into World War I, World War II, and then bring yourselves to the brink of destruction with the Cuban Missile Crisis. Since then, we've stepped back in, before you altered the plan so irreversibly that even we wouldn't be able to save you". A very interesting scene indeed! In essence according to the movie, the supernatural bureau went back and forth between controlling human behavior and giving us the false hope of free will.

"The world is immeasurably better because of Steve," Apple sighs—of course—but I see no major media outlets questioning this PR statement. I wonder and question; what bout the the fact that he was an intense control freak who reamed out underlings. His screaming abuse of his employees. Yet, the tenor of all these memorials is that his genius excuses such behavior!! Genius?? I guess it is indeed the bureau working their magic here!

Let us get one (one of the most important) point clear first; Jobs was not an engineer or inventor. More than anything, he was an entrepreneur, a designer, and a master of branding. I do admire and will give him credit for creating a brand name but nothing more. As matter of fact, I think Jobs and all his ijunk are one of the excessive, amazing examples of capitalist marketing and brainwashing.

Now, let us look at what Mr. Jobs really did; First and foremost he actually cost the US many jobs lost. Most of his ijunk's were manufactured outside of US in a third world country to save on production cost.

Secondly, he is one of the cause for enslaving millions of people around the world to little electronic devices that they don't need while destroying real, meaningful social contact. Every time I walk into social hub or a restaurant, all I see is group of young people sitting together but not talking or even looking at each other but busy staring at the little piece of plastic and wires in their hands... chatting with their imaginary virtual friends! The start of antisocial insanity begins there!

Thirdly, he was a business man who had no or very little concern for the environment; All ijunk products that everyone loved to buy eventually ended up in a landfill after they became obsolete in a year or two. According to Apple, they also produced 14.8 million metric tons of CO2 annually!!!

Fourthly, this can be argued as ones own interest but I choose to; thus: Despite being worth $8.3 billion, Jobs has had zero public charitable donations. Yes, there is always the possibility that he gave anonymously but I highly doubt that considering his personality. Check this out for a kicker; Jobs, an adopted child himself, had an illegitimate child and for two years, though already wealthy, he denied paternity while the mother went on welfare. Jobs even swore in a signed court document that he couldn’t be Lisa’s father because he was “sterile and infertile, and as a result thereof, did not have the physical capacity to procreate a child.” A blood test later proved he was the father and he did begin making payments. Job’s fertility miraculously returned as he fathered 3 more children. Do you get my personality match now??

Though there are a few more facts I can come up with in the end Mr. Jobs did have friends, a family, and colleagues that I’m sure cared very much about him. And I do send my condolences to them as I would to anyone who lost a loved one. I do not revel in his death or in others mourning of him. Everyone is entitled to their own feelings in lieu of another human’s passing. There is no second opinion to that, however I am just blown away at the magnitude of control the adjustment bureau has on our world!

On the contrary; we lost Mr. Dennis Ritchie (even I never knew of till my brother mentioned), the creator of the “C” programming language and one of the men largely responsible for Unix, around the same time. Unlike Mr. Jobs, his contributions to the computing world are the real deal. Without him there is no Steve Jobs! Yet the media and many of its followers choose to shout out " our HERO Steve Jobs " instead!

Here is one quote out of the many (mostly ridiculous) Jobs quotes I've seen this past few weeks, that is somewhat interesting to me, something he once told Steven Levy: "I’m a big believer in boredom.... All the [technology] stuff is wonderful, but having nothing to do can be wonderful, too.”

I find it interesting as somehow I feel he did make many do just that!! Then again that's exactly what Dyson did. It's exactly what Microsoft did. Think about fate and predestination for a moment. Do you live your life thinking that every step has been mapped out? If that were the case, why bother to do anything? Do you think that your overall destination has been decided, but it's up to you how you get there? Which would at least give your actions some meaning. Or do you think that everything is random and there's no reason or purpose behind anything we do? Does the word DESTINY make any sense? Well these questions will come into play as you watch The Adjustment Bureau or read the media on our Her Mr. Jobs. What ever it may be, know this; We are all strong enough to define destiny, as LOVE will conquer all. I loved the movie as much as I love Mr. Jobs passion for business. But please do understand that you have your life in your hands not elsewhere!

The last few months of my reading really dropped off, but it tends to go in cycles. I started reading when I was in my primary school, at that time it was all about the web chronicles of Spider man!  Then in my later part I read books with a lot of sentiments and love stories. And today I see myself inclined more towards the non fictional, biographic, real stuff, religious, atheistic, books.  I do now know what tomorrow will bring to me but I can assure you it will increase my general knowledge, as I have learned stuff off of books that I did not at school. It increased my language skills as I absorb in the reading material. I get more creative through reading books, so in the near future,  I will have more ideas for writing more perspectives. So, I encourage you to get along with me and start reading....

Love-Matrix?

| Monday, October 3, 2011
Explore..
I can't seem to keep it off, so here it goes; Choosing doesn’t limit choices—it just changes them.

Every direction I turn, I see, faces, all colors and shapes, filled with pain and hope and joy and desperation. And I ask; What can I do? But, listen to the truth, then act. I challenge you to stop making choices based on the experiences of others. Make the choice that is true to you.

Take the initiative to discover the best path for you – even if it isn’t your original plan. While it may seem overwhelming, this is the best time to find what you’re passionate about. Take a chance, and believe in yourself. Your future starts here, jump in.

Towards the end of Matrix Reloaded, the Architect of the Matrix tells to Neo that he is the remaining sum of an unbalance equation. Like a remainder in one of those divisions that is somewhat never-ending e.g 145.66666666 or say (53 divided by 5 = 10.6) The Matrix was design in such a way that there was a need for a remainder only because a perfect sum with a perfect complete and total answer without the remainder would cause a breakdown of the entire system or program. In other words, a flaw was needed for the progression of the system.

This particular scene made me wonder; among many things, and because I thought of you today, I can't help but approach this concept of perfect balanced system would be the cause of its breakdown to that of a relationship. Take LOVE in the context of Matrix;

It is all about our choices; Love, among many is funny and relationships funnier. Though many will disagree I believe consistently we tend to fall into relationships that are harmful to us and present a pattern that we know quite well. Disclosure; When I came upon the idea and opened an discussion with a fellow friend I was told that I have a morbid idea of relationships!! So, save your breath and read on if you will and I will tell you how that’s not so true.

So, going back to the Matrix styled approach; If I say that before you begin a relationship you have the choice between a RED PILL and a BLUE PILL you may think I’m crazy. But think deeper ( for those of you who have seen the Matrix)… if we actually and truly had to dissect it; the BLUE pill represent something of a cycle, types of relationships that you are use to, whether it be the traditional chasing someone who looks a particular way; have the same shallow interest as those partners you have chosen before, or just basically you buying into what Pop-culture tell you your love-interest is suppose to be. The RED pill representing something new, enlightening, someone that can help you grow that is not very much part of the pop-cultural fabric or unique enough to be an individual, who has ambition, drive and strives to be a better person.

Most of us, and I have been guilty of this, usually will choose the blue pill to go down that familiar road, knowing full well the chances of its failure based on obvious variables are in the 90 percentile range; still yet we go there. But why? Are we so afraid of the unknown or afraid to deviate from a path that our friends may not readily accept? Do we feel an invisible need or force that puts pressure on us to continually box ourselves within the Love-Matrix? Or instead, are we so guided by the glitz and fluff of the media and celebrity life styles that we trade in our own emotional, love compass for what we think theirs are?

It’s ridiculous enough that relationships in most societies of ours are hard as they are… but its even more ridiculous that some of us get an epiphany which shows us clearly that a particular pattern will not work for us. Yet, we try and try and try futility to make it work only because the knowledge that was produced in our minds by the media, (radio, reality-TV, music videos, magazines, etc) has so etch in our psyche a concept of LOVE and the person who should love, that does not correspond to the actual tenets of traditional love. This throws us into the Matrix cycle which repeats and repeats itself much like the remainder of that equation, until our Trinity or Neo comes to save us…

I think one should always remember that we won't be simply saved unless we at least try to break away from those that influences us to form our relationship and come to terms with the person you want to be with in the long term future. Then only will one be able to choose the best person for him/her now and avoid too many taxing cycles. Strive for a balanced equation, it does not matter if others approve of it; what matters is that the equation works for you and brings a measure of harmony to your life.

And while you do, please don't forget to ENJOY yourself!

p.s watch Matrix :)

Happy Birthday Michael!

Freedom of expression is the most basic human right of all, the one upon which artistic and literary achievement, scientific discovery, religious reform, political freedom, and human progress hinge. Few artists have used their talents/influence to express such a right to uplift mankind as vigorously as Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson is gone, but his deeds and music will live on in my heart and mind forever.

Happy Birthday Michael!

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”

I think we’d be pretty hard pressed to find someone on this planet who at the core didn’t want to be loved. I think we find the above line hard to accept only when we are not directed towards the right path. The path that only you can decide for yourself, not you parents, teachers, friends, families or Religious Gods. No, I am not blaming..

By it, I mean to point you in the direction of not looking outside of ourselves for love, but within to the barriers for love. Why? Because, I believe that love is all around us if we are open to it.

Whether you believe this or not, for most (if not all) of us, we have built up barriers to love because we have been hurt by love’s departure or absence in the past. Maybe we were just babies when we first felt the disconnection and made an unconscious pact to not feel that pain again. Or maybe it was emotional or physical abuse that led to the distrust of love. Could it have been the loss of a significant relationship in your life that you swore you would never love that much again because the fall is too traumatic? Think... and give yourself time to reflect.. Time is the only healer and only Time is capable of understanding how great Love is.

You know, this old world just keeps on spinning around and around and around. And sometimes it just spins too fast, and you, you not only lose your balance... but you lose your rhythm and it's at times like these that you just need to stop and not only find your way again but find your own rhythm!

Because life has a rhythm...
And mother nature has a rhythm...
And love…oh yes, love has a rhythm... Listen for yourself.

Jathi matham paakalaye... Sammathatha kekalaye... Kadhalunu aayiruchu... Thannala thannala..

Koi haule haule, mere dil se bole ... Kisi ka toh ho le... Chal jaane de koi jaadoo..

Is She?

One of the most interesting fact I have noticed through time and experience is once again how we humans always can declare a person guilty or not based solely on our observation of THE media - and my reaction: what a bunch of deep thinkers!!!

Animals with only five senses have the wisdom to go about with just their natural instincts. The gut feeling/intuition.But yet we have chosen to ignore that for the most part and be influenced by the delusional surroundings. My questions to my good friends of Casey haters is this:

Were you THERE? Did you see it happen? Were you an eye witness to the events that lead to that little girl’s death? Who do you think you are to pin that on someone else? Who are you to determine guilt after a jury of twelve people did their job and came to a verdict of innocence?

Now, secondly do you not believe everyone is entitled to their opinion? Or do you not agree to the system which indicates that the presence of a jury removes anyone’s right to be the final judgement?

The above questions are very crucial to determine anything. I do not need to tell you that it’s easy for everyone to point fingers at others and judge them from a distance. Please stop the stoning!!!

None of us knows what went on when that child passed. None of us has the right to point fingers of blame now that the judicial system has done what it was designed to do. There is a price to pay for the freedom we enjoy in this country, sometimes a most likely guilty party walks, it sucks but insures us if we were wrongly accused we have a fair trial. Is this system right? In someways I will say it is much better than some other systems our fellow brothers and sisters from the other parts of the world follow: read: But still, is our system fair? That will be a whole new subject that I would love to debate/discuss with whomever. But for now I rest my case.

Let us all be our own judges. At lease until we perfect Advaita!

Ishq se rab ka raaz mila hai..

Okay! Listen up as I once again, start my bombilation;

Senses:
We always need to be able experience something within our five senses before we would accept it to be, let alone judging it. As a matter of fact these days it seems we do not need to even experience something before we would come to a judgment about it. It is only when we have to accept it for our own good we require the experience within our five senses.

Ignorance:
Take for example; the moon, it is forever rotating the world, existing! And if you want to see the moon, one does not find the need to use a candle or a torch light. The emanation of the moon itself is enough to see it. Yet, we are only able to see it in the dark. We have for generations focused in subduing our full potential power from within. We were all raised to compare, judge and live accordingly but with limitations but today when Morgan Freeman decides to talk about the “Cosmic Consciousness”, we are suddenly inclined towards it, elevated.

Advaita:
We find it easy to understand cosmic consciousness but not easy enough to practice it. Confusion arises when it teaches us to look at everything as one. How can the four legged animal and I be the same? One might ask. Let me break it down; look at your hand for a moment. Your fingers are all different from each other, but are they separate? They all arise from the same hand. Similarly, the objects, animals, plants and people in the world are all definitely different in their appearance/functioning. But they are all connected at their source—they come from the same source. This one “Being” that is behind all life has an infinite number of different expressions that we experience as different objects.

Leprosy thru Silence!

How, exactly, broken does someone have to be before it’s ok for them to pretend I no longer exist? Yet again and again I go back, like scar tissue on your skin the more I surround myself with love the more my heart heals, but every once in a while I hit that scar tissue and it stings like a bee.

I hope it is not about realizing, painfully, you’ve kept that voice inside yourself, locked away from even yourself. And you step back and see that your jailer has changed faces. You realize you’ve become your own jailer. Whatever it may be, time and again I rephrase - in this 'samasara' one has to be truthful to him/her self. So please talk to me, bitch @ me if you have to but do not keep it in you.

Hers; I share one of my favorite quote ever:

"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." -Terry Pratchett

p/s when time permits read Small Gods by him.

Love me Time!

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived:

Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others including Love.

One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all repaired their boats and left. Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to persevere until the last possible moment. When the island was almost sinking, Love decided to ask for help. Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?" Richness answered, "No, I can't.. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you." Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel, Vanity, please help me!" "I can't help you Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered. Sadness was close by so Love asked for help, "Sadness, let me go with you." "Oh...Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!" Happiness passed by Love too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her!

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come Love, I will take you." It was an elder. Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that he even forgot to ask the elder her name. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her way. Love, realizing how much he owed the elder, asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who helped me?" "It was Time," Knowledge answered. "Time?" asked Love, "But why did Time help me?" Knowledge smiled with deep Wisdom and answered,

"Because only Time is capable of understanding how great Love is."

Change of tone..

Considerable time had passed since I've just stopped to stare at Mother Nature's beauty… thy head, the content of my accumulated experiences. Anyway, last night, one of my readers named Aarti mentioned that she was checking my blog to see how I was doing and I was reminded that I have been laying very low on that particular subject. It isn’t that I don’t want to share what I have learned recently, I have just learned a healthy regard for saying too much.

This is the first, as always there is the first! I’ve always remembered to stick to the basic no matter what.

I have a very outgoing personality, and I admit I'm gregarious. I've just realized that this disposition, although it really helps that I'm in a happy and good mood all the time regardless of circumstances, is not good all the time. Sometimes, there are times when I wonder if I have really lost myself in the laughter. You see, when you're loud, your ears are shut off to the beauty of silence. It takes silence to spark an inspiration, to get things in a new perspective, and to hear clearly your inner voice. When you keep still, so many things come rushing to you and you just feel them until you can really connect with them.

So, at this juncture, I wish to thank you all for holding up your mirrors and allowing me to see myself in them. It has helped me in many ways you won’t understand.

As you drove away...

Reflecting the reflections of morning hours of this day; July 22nd 2011! I was happy, thrilled to have caught you..though at far, distanced, driving away in the opposite direction... it made my heart cry.. in joy. Thank you my Angel!

As you already know, I practice sincere frankness whenever, however and in whatever manner I can. I believe that we all have one life to live and I live it simply! No running away from anything.. I fight till the end and give all I have for anyone I love and I did just that with you.. I expressed my thoughts straight.. no beating around the bush!

"pahalaa yeh wada humne kiya hai...Har zare zare ki yeh iltiza hai; O re Piya"

Angels do arrive; I know that! You might recall the above from the torn pieces a while back. I am not repeating but just recollecting! And today at this early evening hours I sit here in my room, facing the monitor, thy eyes!

Did that make you hate me? Did it push you away from me? Did it change our friendship? Are you not able to trust me anymore? Are you not as comfortable as before with me anymore?? I wish and hope that you would answer NO to all of the above questions, but it is still your choice to make.

What ever it may be I hope we can find it in us to communicate! Missing you..

"Naan naana? Kaetten ennai naane.. Naan neeya? Nenjam sonnadhe.."
