I didn’t expect to be posting before next year, but given the situation in southern Asian and eastern Africa, I thought it important to post something to help those affected by the earthquake and the tsunami. You can find a good list of organizations to which you can make a donation on Google Tsunami Relief web page.

There are plenty of other sites with information on the earthquake and tsunami and how to provide support as well. I encourage everybody who can to donate and where possible to blog or post links to Earthquake and Tsunami sites.

Anyway, The year is almost over (11.00pm as I write). Another cycle has been completed. A new one is coming, and I wish you the best for it, may all your wishes come true, may you be healthy, succesful, and most of all, loved. Hugs!

Jegan got his hands on one of the new iRiver H320s, the 20GB hard disk MP3 player with a color screen, USB Host capability, radio, and microphone. It looks excellent, and besides some complaints about the quality of plastic used for the casing, performs as advertised. The USB Host functionality means the H300 series devices can serve as portable hard drives for digital cameras, and I suspect that feature combined with the color screen will make these players a big hit for photographers. They do say the remote is sort of useless since it doesn't have an LCD, but I tend to disagree. Like the iPod's remote, I find that simple remotes are more than useful enough for their main purpose, which is to skip a track or two and to pause your music without pulling out the new device. On the upside, if you need an LCD remote, the units from the iHP120 (an older iRiver player) will work with the HP300 series just fine.

She: Why do you like me? Why do you love me?

Him: I can't tell the reason, but I really like you.

She: You can't even tell me the reason. How can you say you like me? How can you say you love me?

Him: I really don't know the reason. But I can prove that I love you.

She: Prove? no! I want you to tell me the reason. My fren's boyfren can tell her why he loves her. But not you!

Him: Ok ok.. erm.. because you are beautiful, because your voice is sweet, because you are caring, because you are loving, because you are thoughtful, because of your smile, because of your every movements.

The lady felt very satisfied with the man's answer. Unfortunately, a few days later, the lady met with an accident and became comma. The guy then placed a letter by her side. And here is the content:

Darling, because of your sweet voice that I love you. But now, can you talk? No! therefore I cannot love you. Because of your care and concern that I like you. Now, that you cannot show them therefore I cannot love you. Because of your smile, because of your every movements that I love you, now can you smile? Now can you move? No! therefore I cannot love you.

If love needs a reason, there is no reason for me to love you anymore. Do love need a reason? No! therefore I still love you and love doesn't need a reason.

So what do bored middle to upper-middle class surban white kids do in their spare time? They "hook-up". What is hooking up? Basically it's casual sex.

It seems that teens have figured out that relationships are hard to maintain. They require work to be successful and for young kids that's just too much. I can understand that, who wants to "work" to get a good relationship when all the raging hormones scream for sex. Why not have the sex and forget the rest?

I think if you read the article there are a lot of contradictions about how teens are feeling. On one hand hooking up is easy and cool, yet too much can be a bad thing. People need to be careful to maintain that "clean" image, otherwise they'll never be able to find a proper relationship. Another thing is to look at how some teens says no emtions are involved. But when casual sex partners leave each other (either because they get bored or somebody has found a real relationship) people end up getting hurt no matter how hard they try to suppress those feelings.
I’m so pissed and disgusted by this I need to share it.
Stop This!
I'm not quite sure what the solution is. Obviously education plays an important role, but what sort of ideas do parents need to speak about? Teen's are stupid, they know all about the sort of risks involved with unprotected sex. The issue here isn't that teens are taking a risk in having unprotected sex (which they aren't, in the article most of the casual sex is oral in nature). The issue is that teens are damaging their emtional selves and that's very difficult to explain. Teen's will be quick to brush it off as "old people talk".

The product with the coolest and shortest name (how do you pronouce OQO anyways?) is vapourware no longer as pocket pc thoughts get a first look/impression.

From the pictures, it looks to be quite a interesting device. OQO isn't just a Windows Mobile device but instead a Windows XP system using a 1GHz Transmeta Crusoe with 256MB of RAM and a 20GB hard drive. It uses a 5" 800x480 display, has built in 802.11b wireless and Bluetooth. It's your typical 21st century digital device. Problem is that it's going to set you back $1500-$2000, quite expensive for a device with even less expandability than a laptop (though it is way lighter).

Well, I was American lastnight, it was fun, after a long time, I just laughed and partyed and laughed............u get the point. I think I'm taking the skater thing to far, but the way I look at it, I'm skater pop, I'm not like jj or dan, I don't refuse to like something because other people do. I hate the way they slag off my taste in music and the way they actually just ignore the fact that I'm there most of the time. I'm just one of those people who can make their number of friends look bigger without actually having to be their friends. I deal.

Anyway, I bought a new tape dispenser and a business card holder, they're cool, but possibly not worth talking about :)

Be honest with yourself.

Talk to somebody about your feelings.

Don't ignore your emotions, they are telling you something.

If you are having an unpleasant feeling,

think of something you can do that will help, and then do it.

Find positive ways to express anger that are not hurtful to others. (trying)

Remember, whatever you are feeling, you're not alone.

Try not to get overwhelmed, things usually improve.

If you do get overwhelmed—ask for
help.

The only thing I think about, dream about is

How you left..Why’d you leave me

See I was trippin just for thinking you would wait around

How I'm missing you baby..

How we use to be

How you where always there for me

You are his now Cause you think I am a mess

But maybe

If we can talk it out

I can turn it around

Always thought that you would

Be with me only

Now its killing me slowly

How I took you for granted

But now I understand I was wrong

I was wrong for sleepin

Baby give me one more chance

I swear I apologize

I was wrong

I’m down on my knees

Come and see about me

All I need is one more chance

All I want to do is be your man

I was wrong for trippin

I can’t barely breathe

Come and see about me....)) baby please dont go...if i had one wish right now

It would be for u to stay!

I think like myself most men at times hate being in a car when they're not the driver. Hate it, utterly. We feel foolish, and somehow immature. If we could get away with it, we'd sit with our driving license pressed up against the window, so that passing drivers or pedestrians could at least see that we can drive. But we'd rather just be driving. What say ppl ?

Thank you. Thank you sooo much!

I've taken the opportunity to reinvent myself.
Well, I wanted to beat those other's, at least by time, and thus this post will, no matter what, be posted at midnight exactly. This, my friends, is my birthday. 24 years old. So, where was I a year ago? Working a part time job and renting the basement of a friends house. Today, having the luxury of my own house with a stable job paying well enough to pay my shit ( sorry, but tell me you don't hate bills !!) and save some money at the same time having some funnn :)
where do I want to be in a year is something I prefer to think on. The answer is that I want to be employed for close to a year or two in the same place/position, no matter where/what it is before I move upon the ladder of life . I want to be ahead technologically.
So, thanks in advance to all those wishing me a happy birthday, but it will surely be boring, useless and very much the opposite of what most do for their own birthdays ( will be working ). But I will be happy to point you all to my many wishlists, if you want to buy me a present.

HEART ATTACK

| Wednesday, December 15, 2004
Explore..
I received an e-mail - fwd from Alex in Virginia which I thought like he did to be a very good informational forward. After all it is a world of informational events! Anyway read below and spread your words oh brothers and sisiters of the furure..

HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE

Recently an associate from satyam info tech - 26years old - died of a heart attack does not come with a prior invitation. Read and pass this message to your friends. If everyone who gets this sends it to 10 people, you can bet that we'll save at least one life. Read this...It could save your life. Let's say it's 6.15 pm and you're driving home (alone of course) after an unusually hard day on the job. You're really tired, and frustrated.

Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to radiate out into your arm and up into your jaw. You are only five miles from the hospital nearest your home. Unfortunately you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy that taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.

HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE.

Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack, without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.

However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously A deep breath should be taken before each cough, The cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital. Tell as many other people as possible about this. It could save their lives!!! Don't ever think that you are not prone to heart attack if your age is less than 25 or 30.

Remember, nowadays due to the change in the life style, heart attack is found among people of all age groups.

I've had this weird feeling today. I can't tell if it's just wishful thinking or some true inkling of someone or something trying to lead me, but I keep getting this nagging feeling like there's something I should be doing (and I mean in the grander scheme of things). I've had this before, but not for a long long time, and it generally precipitates me doing something rash if I'm not careful.

Vegetarians

Seriously! You can hardly get ANYTHING clearly marked "suitable for vegetarians". It seems so petty and stupid for me to write about this, but once you take up this lifestyle you see how difficult it can be. You look through all the ingredients, and there's no visable meat in there. But you can only wonder....I bought vegetable noodles once, and when I looked at the package at home, I saw it had chicken fat in it. How easily could the manufacturers have avoided that?

So this is my simple request: If a packaged food has meat in it, the manufacturers STATE it has meat in it very clearly, and what KIND of meat. So those with religious beliefs can also avoid unwanted meat.

The good thing is I am now clear about certain people’s aspect/demeanor about/towards me. As much as it hurts me to say fare thee well, It hurts more to know that someone who is supposed to love you disbelieves..leaves you. Yet who listens? Who cares? Well, though I'm a nobody, of no importance in this world, I will listen and I care deeply. I know what it felt like when I wasn't believed.

I have been on the internet since march of 96. I have had many Internet friends, they're far away, and their face I can't see. But each one is special in their own way and I look forward to their mail everyday. But at times we hear all the bad things about the internet how the people are all phony ect.. I admit there are some bad apples, but there are also a lot of people that are very good. I guess I wanted to blog about this because there is so much negativity about the internet and the people on it. I wanted to share that there are wonderful people on here also, people who care about others not because they can see them with there eyes, but because we feel each other with our hearts.

We sit and type, and we stare at our screens. We all have to wonder, what this possibly means.
With our mouse we roam, through the rooms in a maze looking for something or someone, as we sit in a daze. We chat with each other, we type all our woessmall groups we do form, and gang up on our foes. We wait for somebody, to type our name, we want recognition, but it is always the same. We give kisses and hugs, and sometimes flirtin IMs, we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt. We do form friends-but-why? we don't know. Some of these friendships, will flourish and grow.

Why is it on screen, we can be so bold. Telling our secrets, that have never been told.
Why is it we share, the thoughts in our mind. With those we can't see, as though we were blind.
The answer is simple, it is as clear as a bell. We all have problems, and need someone to tell.

The movie like my privious post deals with an adult portrayal of lust, love, betrayal, and redemption. Though, to be honest theres was no actual redemption for any of the characters but that's real life. There's not always a happy ending or a clear black-and-white answer to every situation. In the end, anyone who has cheated or been cheated on can identify with at least one of the characters if not all. Definitely good performances from all, especially Natalie Portman. Though, I felt the relationship between Julia Roberts and Clive Owen should have been explored further.

Just say "Hi"

|
Explore..
This is a really simple strategy. If you're consistent and persistent with this strategy, this could yield you a lot of beautiful women. It'll take a long time though, but then again, it requires almost no effort on your part:)

Here's what you do. You see a girl you like, but for some reason can't do an approach (you don't have the time, or maybe the guts, or the situation disallows it etc), at least do this - say "Hi". Keep enough eye-contact to get a confused "Hi" in return, then continue with what you were doing (walking, working etc). Maybe you'll never see the girl again. But if you do (oh joy and behold!:) - say "Hi" again. Then continue with what you were doing (basically, ignoring her:). And so on, and so on. After the first three "Hi's" the girl is still wondering, if or how she is supposed to know you. After the fifth "Hi" she is already wondering, how come you never actually talk to her. After the tenth "Hi" she can't understand, how come you never even approach her. After the twentieth "Hi" she is so confused and intrigued about you that she just can't stand it anymore and will approach YOU instead. She'll try to find out how the two of you know, and why you never talk to her, or why you never even approach her, but you still keep saying "Hi", is there something wrong with her etc - be very vague and mysterious about it in your answers (after all, you don't have much to tell anyway:). Now however, you're talking to an absolutely gorgeous girl (remember, you almost didn't even have the guts to say "Hi" to her:), who is so intrigued about you the she approached you - make the best of it:)

So the good part of this tactic is - almost zero effort on your part, just remember saying "Hi" to her:) The downsides however are numerous - you might never see her again, which is especially bad if she became interested in you when you said your first "Hi" already. Or you might see her a few more times but not on a consistent enough basis to build up enough intrigue in her. Also, this takes a monstrous amount of time to ripen - months, possibly even years. Neither is it much of a confidence- and experience-builder - you'll develop a confidence of saying "Hi" to beauties (not much is it?:) and acquire no experience whatsoever. But it serves it purpose as a last-ditch resort when you see a 10 approaching down the street, hurrying somewhere - say "Hi", get one in return, make her think that the two of you know each other somehow (obviously she can't remember you:) and hope for another chance meeting (when she hopefully still vaguely remembers you:).

For more questions please contact the expert.

Ram Ram, hey hey Ram Ram, Ram Ram Salaam Hey! Ram Ram

Where there is no longer poverty, there will be no-violence.

Where there is happiness, there a myriad lights will shine.

Darkness will not go, light will not come, it will not bring morning…

(just saying) Ram Ram, hey hey Ram Ram, Ram Ram Salaam Hey! Ram Ram

Who knows when Judgment Day may come?

Who knows when you and I may lose our way?

All that is in your power here is to act,

And the consequences of actions no one can avoid.

O Friends, let our religion be humanity! Friends, Let it be humanity!

Learn from what is past, but think of the present and future.

Those who are gone are truly gone, not even their shadows remain.

Today, O People, light the lamp of love, O People, light the lamp of love!

Ram Ram, hey hey Ram Ram, Ram Ram Salaam Hey! Ram Ram

Watching Hey! Ram, a glimpse of yesterday, from a vantage angle, but a temporary height called today last night, I was struck by the detail and also the way Kamal presented past and present. He changes the cinematography concept of past and present. Where most directors would portray the past in black and white footage, Kamal reverses it. He portrays the present in black and white. I thought that was brilliant. Hey! Ram is an important and must-see film,
a visceral and visionary experiment in mainstream Tamil/Hindi cinema.
Hats off to Dr. Padmashree Kamalhassan.

btw, look out for the English version of this marvelous movie titled Confessions of the Assassin.

How do you define success?

I'm constantly amazed at how differently people define career success. Lately this has become very important personally too. I've been working on this whole "self-improvement" thing, and it's been giving me a great sense of accomplishment lately. With few exceptions, most parts of my life are no longer stagnating as they once were. Well anyway to answer the question I am going to quote John C. Maxwell:

"Success is waking up in the morning, whoever you are, wherever you are, however old or young, and bounding out of bed because there's something out there that you love to do, that you believe in, that you're good at -- something that's bigger than you are, and you can hardly wait to get at it again today."

I hate umbrellas. They're coarse and rough and irritating, but here everything is soft and smagggghhh-- Sorry, no, that's sand. Let's start over.

I hate umbrellas. I killed them. I killed them all. They're dead, every single one of them. And not just the men, but the women and the children, too! They're like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals! I hate them! Hmmm. Not quite. One more time.

I hate umbrellas. They never work correctly for me. You have to hold the stupid thing, so you never have a free hand to do anything. Rain hardly ever falls straight down, so I end up getting wet anyway, from the sideways/diagonal rain. And when people share an umbrella with me, I am hit even harder with the sideways/diagonal rain and shouldn't even bother being underneath. They take up a lot of space, they drip all over and get mildew and smelly and they poke people in the eye. We should all just get damn raincoats. Or maybe it just should stop raining!!!

Conclusion I hate umbrellas but not as much as rain.

Oh she who desired to sleep,

On the lap of the fading moon,

She who left for the moon,

Thinking it is better than my lap,

My heart aches, My life suffers,

Everyday, The moon pinches me,

Oh my heart,

Be at peace.,

I want you, always,

Even if you are wind, even if,

You are wind...What are you,

Asks everything that I see,

Without knowing the passing of time,

We talked, Without being wounded by the arrows of our glances,

We shot them, But why have you left me,

To cry by myself?

My heart,

Be at peace.

Mahishasura

According to Hindu mythology a demon named Mahishasura, earned the favor of Lord Shiva after a long and hard penance.

Lord Shiva, impressed with his devotion, blessed him that no man or deity would be able to

kill him.

Arrogant Mahishasura started his reign of terror over the world and people were killed mercilessly by him – he even fought the gods.

When the gods failed to defeat him, they gathered to find a solution.

Their fiery energies and strength congealed into the body of a beautiful woman called

Durga and equipped her with their weapons since the boon was that no “man” could kill him.

Durga defeated Mahishasur in an epic battle and brought about peace and prosperity.

So Durga Pooja (a major yearly event in north east India) celebrates this victory with

re-enactments of this battle.

Here is a version narrated by Mahishasur himself.

When will you/I Die ?

It's Your Final Countdown !!

At some point in every person's life, they must come to grips with a universal principle - all living things inevitably will die. Even in the brilliant and celebratory moment of our conception, we are already cloaked in the mantle of bodily death, and we know it. There are times when the loss of a loved one brings us face to face with this starkness. Then our strategies of distraction and consolation no longer work. We feel again the raw fact that has always been our situation. Even the many small endings in our life (and the beginnings as well) remind us that no thing and no one will last, no matter how much we love them.

Stop:

Find out:

Whatever we believe about death (and what happens after death), its inescapable nature is not in debate. But knowing that death is a universal requirement does not end our predicament - it only pushes our need to understand what life is all about, what its purpose is, to the fore.

When will you/I Die ?

For any of you that will be in Taiwan on July 11, 2005, we present you this challenge. Starting at 7:11am, we will be walking around Taipei and hitting up every single 7-Eleven we see. And in each 7-Eleven, we will be purchasing one alcoholic beverage each. We will then consume this alcoholic beverage in the streets (because it's legal in Taiwan!) until we stumble upon another 7-11, where we will buy yet another drink. This shall continue until 7:11pm, where we will end the night with some clubbing and then some hot passionate drunken sex.

Now for those in DC, MD, VA..you guys can jon me and we will do something simiar here!!What say??

The Colors of My Love, for you._____
Pink Roses Mean - Appreciation, "Thank you", grace, and admiration. Pink Roses carry the message of happiness, gracefulness and gentleness.

White Roses Mean - Purity and innocence, secrecy,
also reverence and humility.

Yellow Roses Mean - Joy, gladness, friendship, delight, and the promise of a new beginning.

Dark Pink Roses Mean - Appreciation, gratitude.

Orange Roses Mean - Desire,
and enthusiasm. One Single Red Rose Means "I Love You"

Oh Beloved..! Even you are colorful.
-----
Writing this reminds me of an absolute beauty to hear, Pachai Niramae/Saathiya from the movie AlaiPayuthey/Saathiya. This fast paced melody is like a wave of joyfulness, starting on a high and then dropping pace before gaining a crescendo, the song has been well penned and executed. Hariharan's voice adds more to the already beautiful song. Be careful else you will be addicted..! Listen:

Pachai Niramae: Hariharan is very catchy.

Saathiya : Sonu Nigam's singing is well-done, though he seems a bit less suited to the track than Hariharan. The lyrics are nice, though some phrases seem stretched out to fit the lines.

The Tamil songs lyrics:

Diwali 2004

|

WHAT IS IT?

Diwali (Du-vah-ly) is the holy tradition that symbolizes the victory of light over darkness. It also traditionally marks the beginning of the New Year ( I think ) and is one of the most important holidays for Hindus.

WHEN IS IT?

Diwali is a five-day celebration that begins on the 15th day of Kartika according to the lunar calendar. In 2004 it will be celebrated Nov. 12. ..Oh and itz today!

HOW IS IT CELEBRATED?

A typical Indian celebration includes fresh flowers, exchanges of cards and gifts, new clothes, meeting new and old friends, and offerings of traditional sweets.Because there are many regions in India, there are many manifestations of the Diwali festival. In at least one area, the festival begins with Dhanteras, a day set aside to worship Laksmi, the goddess of wealth. In the Indian culture, wealth is not viewed as a corruptive power. Instead, a wealthy person is considered to have been rewarded for good deeds of a past life.On the second day, Kali, the goddess of Strength, is worshipped. This day also focuses on abolishing laziness and evil. On the third day (the last day of the year in the lunar calendar), lamps are lighted and shine brightly in every home. The lamp symbolizes knowledge and encourages reflection upon the purpose of each day in the festival. The goal is to remember the purpose throughout the year. The fourth day of Diwali falls on the first day of the lunar New Year. At this time, old business accounts are settled and new books are opened. The books are worshipped in a special ceremony and participants are encouraged to remove anger, hate and jealousy from their lives. On the final day (Balipratipada) of the festival, Bali, an ancient Indian king, is recalled. Bali destroyed the centuries old philosophies of the society. However, in addition to this, he is remembered for being a generous person. Thus, the focus of this day is to see the good in others, including enemies.

WHAT IS ITS HISTORY?

Diwali celebrates Rama's (a Hindu God) homecoming, that is his return to Ayodhya after the defeat of Ravana and his coronation as king.King Dashratha had three wives named Kaushalaya, Keykayee and Sumitra, and four sons–Rama, Bharat, Laxmana and Shatrughan. Rama was the son of Queen Kaushalaya and Bharat was the son of Queen Keykayee. Keykayee wanted Bharat to be the next King of Ayodhya, while King Dasharatha wanted Rama, his eldest son, to be the King. But Keykayee made full use of the two wishes King Dasharatha had promised. Keykayee asked for sending Rama to exile for the period of 14 years and to crown Bharat as the king, though Bharat refused to accept the kingship.During that time, Lord Rama fought and won fierce battles in the southern part of the Indian sub-continent, killing the king of Demons, Ravana, who had forcibly taken away his wife, Sita. Diwali marks his victorious return to his kingdom along with Hanuman, the Vanar who helped him in achieving success. The legend states it took 20 days for Rama to return to his kingdom after defeating Ravana. As with other Indian festivals, Diwali signifies many different things to people across the country. In north India, Diwali celebrates Rama's homecoming from 14 years of exile, that is his return to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana and his coronation as king; in Gujarat, the festival is celebrated to honor goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth; and in Bengal, it is related with the goddess Kali. But everywhere, it is celebrated with the same spirit and signifies the renewal of life.

Enough said..

heemi Dheemi-Hariharan: Hari begins humming along with a wonderful sounding synth piano which provides the only rhythm support for this song! One hardly notices the words 'dheemi dheemi' enunciated by Hariharan (appropriate as dheemi means gently!). The pallavi is refreshingly beautiful! Full marks to ARR for using Hariharan for this rather dreamy romantic melody & hats off to Hari for excellent rendition. The natural sounds (birds chirping) has been mixed well into the song (at the start and end). If you thought the pallavi was refreshing just wait for the charanam. Wow! More surprises as the melody gently flows thru the lyrical passages as a silvery stream on a moonlight night. The song ends with the pallavi being whistled. I do have two minor criticisms. First-- the bubbly synth fantasy instrument which is the main back up instrument is somewhat overused and does sound repetitious. Second--the tune vaguely resembles the ad for Flora (sunflower oil). Notes used are mainly Shankarabharanam notes with M2 being used occasionally. : Swaps

His innovative acting has earned him the title "the first, and perhaps the last, complete hero in Indian Cinema"

Kamal Haasan, The very name suggests us of novelty and creativity was born on 7th November 1954. The history of Indian cinema has never seen the kind of
Kamal Haasan - a cine lover who's just hasn't had enough of his love.
The range of characters that ‘Kamal’, as he is affectionately called, has enacted over the years spreads to embrace languages other than his mother tongue and here too he has managed to establish himself with convincing authority. Some of his hits in other languages include “Vishuvijayam”, “Rasaleela” “Yeeta” and 'Kanyakumari' in Malayalam, “Swathi Muthiyam” which was a super hit and “Saagara Sangamam” in Telugu. Can one ever forget the songs or scenes from his all time great performance in “Ek Duje Ke Liye” in Hindi? Even to date, the songs from that movie are hummed by people of all ages. We have all heard of the proverb that ‘Action speak louder than words’ and it can be applied to Kamal’s acting career. He lets his movies and character sketches talk for him and the message that comes across is loud and clear – he is one actor whom we can look up to!

Thong or Al Qaeda

| Saturday, November 6, 2004
Explore..
I've been asked by a pal to post about a disturbing problem at his workplace. Un appropriate women wearing thong. I can understand the popularity of a thong because of the lack of underwear lines, but it's getting out of hand when certain people that we work with consistently wear their thong with their low rise pants. It's pretty hard/bad when you walk by someone's desk, or they bend over, and you get a full thong view. I really don't think it's appropriate to show that much skin at work.

Please share your comments on this!

Anyways when talking about problems, It is hard to imagine that al Qaeda is so widespread as to have a hand in nearly every dastardly deed which is undertaken in the world and to have hidden itself from discovery until its debut some 25 months ago. It seems that with so many members doing so many things in so many places with so much money that the press would have found it hard not to bump into a chatty al Qaeda operative long ago. It follows, then, that al Qaeda is becoming the Swiss Army Knife of evildoers, an all-purpose bogeyman in the model of Communism. Or, perhaps this group is really so nefarious and pervasive that one's neighbor could secretly be a member, in the model of Communism. One never knows. Either way, it will bring, by way of debt spending, many economies out of the doldrums, in the model of the fight against Communism.

Hey Guys,

You miss Finding Nemo ?

Well, this movie is just one of them that can slide into its place.

The Incredibles features a family with superpower who finally got the chance to show their power after living a "so-called" normal life in the suburbs. This movie is filled with real family theme ( sis/bro fights, trying to lose weight, etc) , awesome super powers, and a totally blasts off with comedy! This movie is a must-see one if you want to get a good laugh! This might not be as SUPER as Finding Nemo, but It sure is in the 'A' list!

I have to agree with one of my pal....I dont know whats up with "my feelings" about Da**

So anyway..today was a pretty decent day..my friend looked great in her jeans...they were very nice actually...

I was talking to some of my Indian friends when I got a call from another friend ( Indian too ) and he upon hearing my friends asks r they all Indians ? with a tone ..ewww I went and hanged up on him.

So if you're asian and surround yourself with other asians people say, "omg you're so asian!" but if you're white and surround yourself with your pretty white bubble it's normal. and if you're asian and surround yourself with white people you're considered a "cool asian."

ever been frustrated but so apathetic because you realize the absurdity of the situation and so the only thing that comes out is laughter?

I may appear apathetic, but i'm probably just lost in thought over some really stupid detail or find the situation too absurd to bother with a reaction.

watever I suck at expressing positive feelings. ;)

Bush Wins Re-Election

|
Explore..
A Plan for A Safer World & More Hopeful America

Bush's vote totals were the biggest ever and his slice of the vote, 51 percent, made him the first president to claim a majority since 1988.

George W. Bush is the 43rd President of the United States. He was sworn into office January 20, 2001, after a campaign in which he outlined sweeping proposals to reform America's public schools, transform our national defense, provide tax relief, modernize Social Security and Medicare, and encourage faith-based and community organizations to work with government to help Americans in need. President Bush served for six years as the 46th Governor of the State of Texas, where he earned a reputation as a compassionate conservative who shaped public policy based on the principles of limited government, personal responsibility, strong families, and local control. President Bush was born on July 6, 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut, and he grew up in Midland and Houston, Texas. He received a bachelor's degree from Yale University in 1968, then served as an F-102 fighter pilot in the Texas Air National Guard. President Bush received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1975. After graduating, he moved back to Midland and began a career in the energy business. After working on his father's successful 1988 presidential campaign, he assembled the group of partners that purchased the Texas Rangers baseball franchise in 1989. He served as managing general partner of the Texas Rangers until he was elected Governor on November 8, 1994, with 53.5 percent of the vote. He became the first Governor in Texas history to be elected to consecutive four-year terms when he was re-elected on November 3, 1998, with 68.6 percent of the vote. Since taking office, President Bush has signed into law bold initiatives to improve public schools by raising standards, requiring accountability, and strengthening local control. He has signed tax relief that provided rebate checks and lower tax rates for everyone who pays income taxes in America. He has increased pay and benefits for America's military and is working to save and strengthen Social Security and Medicare. He is also committed to ushering in a responsibility era in America, and has called on all Americans to be "citizens, not spectators; citizens, not subjects; responsible citizens building communities of service and a Nation of character." The attacks of September 11th changed America - and in President Bush's words, "in our grief and anger we have found our mission and our moment." President Bush declared war against terror and has made victory in the war on terrorism and the advance of human freedom the priorities of his Administration. Already, the United States military and a great coalition of nations have liberated the people of Afghanistan from the brutal Taliban regime and denied al Qaeda its safe haven of operations. Thousands of terrorists have been captured or killed and operations have been disrupted in many countries around the world. In the President's words, "our Nation - this generation - will lift a dark threat of violence from our people and our future. We will rally the world to this cause by our efforts, by our courage. We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail." President Bush is married to Laura Welch Bush, a former teacher and librarian, and they have twin daughters, Barbara and Jenna. The Bush family also includes their dog, Barney, and a cat, India.

Ami or What ??

One of my friend/fellow blogger, Amit had a post today about friendship with a question. So I am going to try and answer him... But first his question : how do u define a real friend ?

There are a lot of answers to that, this is some of what I think:

True friendship is respect. if the person doesn't respect you first the rest will never come.

A real friend is someone you can trust.

A simple friend identifies himself when he calls.

A real friend doesn't have to.

A simple friend brings a bottle of wine to your party.

A real friend comes early to help you cook and stays late to help you clean.

Someone has said that if a person has two or three real, true friends, they are indeed blessed. I am----are you ?

Maybe this will help: a fwd I got a few years back..yeah I know..I tend to save some ..

Friends Through the Years...

As we have grown and changed so have our ideas on friendship....

1. In kindergarten your idea of a good friend was the person who let you

have the red crayon when all that was left was the ugly black one.

2. In first grade your idea of a good friend was the person who went to

the bathroom with you and held your hand as you walked through the scary

halls.

3. In second grade your idea of a good friend was the person who helped

you stand up to the class bully.

4. In third grade your idea of a good friend was the person who shared

their lunch with you when you forgot yours on the bus.

5. In fourth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who was

willing to switch square dancing partners in gym so you wouldn't have to

be stuck do-si-do-ing with nasty Nicky or smelly Susan.

6. In fifth grade your idea of a friend was the person who saved a seat

on the back of the bus for you.

7. In sixth grade your idea of a friend was the person who went up to

nick or Susan, your new crush, and asked them to dance with you, so that

if they said no you wouldn't have to be embarrassed.

8. In seventh grade your idea of a friend was the person who let you

copy the social studies homework from the night before that you had

forgotten about.

9. In eighth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who helped

you pack up your stuffed animals and old baseball cards so that your room

would be a "high schooler's" room, but didn't laugh at you when you

finished and broke out in tears.

10. In ninth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who went

with you to that "cool" party thrown by a senior so you wouldn't wind up

being the only freshman there.

11. In tenth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who changed

their schedule so you would have someone to sit with at lunch.

12. In eleventh grade your idea of a good friend was the person who gave

you rides in their new car, convinced your parents that you shouldn't be

grounded, consoled you when you broke up with nick or Susan, and found

you a date to the prom.

13. In twelfth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who

helped you pick out a college, assured you that you would get into that

college, helped you deal with your parents who were having a hard time

adjusting to the idea of letting you go....

14. At graduation your idea of a good friend was the person who was

crying on the inside but managed the biggest smile one could give as they

congratulated you.

15. The summer after twelfth grade your idea of a good friend was the

person who helped you clean up the bottles from that party, helped you

sneak out of the house when you just couldn't deal with your parents,

assured you that now that you and nick or you and Susan were back

together, you could make through anything, helped you pack up for college

and just silently hugged you as you looked through blurry eyes at 18 years

of memories you were leaving behind, and finally on those last days of

childhood, went out of their way to come over and send you off with a hug,

a lot of memories, reassurance that you would make it in college as well

as you had these past 18 years, and most importantly sent you off to

college knowing you were loved.

16. Now, your idea of a good friend is still the person who gives you

the better of the two choices, holds your hand when your scared, helps you

fight off those who try to take advantage of you, thinks of you at times

when you are not there, reminds you of what you have forgotten, helps you

put the past behind you but understands when you need to hold on to it a

little longer, stays with you so that you have confidence, goes out of

their way to make time for you, helps you clear up your mistakes, helps

you deal with pressure from others, smiles for you when they are sad,

helps you become a better person, and most importantly loves you.!

Spam in other words unsolicited email.

I don't have all the answers. If I did have all the answers (hell, even a few of them...), perhaps I would be able to address some of the queries impressed upon me in the daily glop of unsolicited email. It's rather like having a several mini vans worth of babbling pre-schoolers following you around all day, asking why the dog smells funny. At any rate, here is my attempt to quickly answer some of the questions posed to me in the subject lines of today's spam. Now don't you wanna do the same?

Are you for it?

It? It what? Could you be more specific?

Are you single?

What if?

Bad credit?

Yes, they spelled my name wrong again in the colophon.

Did you seen this?

See what?

Do you believe in ghosts?

I just said I didn't see it. Jeeze.

Fed up with Bush/Kerry?

Not yet. Ask me after the election.

Flu shots?

Color or black and white? Is processing included?

Got meds?

You spelt milk wrong.

Guess what?

What?

Is your home or office low on ink supply?

No, but my patience is a bit thin.

Life premiums too high?

Since when have there been premiums on life?

Looking for a new bingo site to play at?

No. However, I am looking for cheap high-quality software.

Looking for cheap high-quality software?

Hey, how did you know?

Want a flat screen?

Is that another fat comment?

Will your income fall 30% in 2005?

Ask me after the election.

Would you like a government grant?

I wouldn't know what to do with my own government.

Would you like to refinance?

I'd like to get the last few minutes of my life back

A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul.

Better living

In my experience, many people get a concept stuck in their head/mind and it grows to a size inappropriate to the original idea/fact. I've met countless entrepreneurs and marketers who believe that one national TV ad, or one appearance on Oprah, or one lucky link in Google is the answer to their prayers.

Whether you're running for President, running a non-profit or trying to go public, there is no shortcut. No obvious, easy, predictable solution that will get you the success you want. Instead, I'm pretty sure, you're going to have to do a lot of work and build a measurable, predictable, improvable system that keeps getting better over time. And the miracles (that great link on Yahoo, 'that appearance on Air America") is just a bonus.

Tradition!

There are too many choices in our lives. Too many brands of soft drink, too many kinds of cell phones, too many ways to fly from New York to LA. There are too many social choices as well--when to clap, how to say hello, what sort of message to leave on your cell phone.

As a result, more often than not, we resort to tradition. We do what we've always done because it's safer and easier. You should care about this. If you're trying to build something big and important. Because big and important things often come from changing the tradition. And if you can invent a new tradition, a new tradition around your innovation, that's when you win big time. Changez pour le meilleur!!

Remember,

when you are feeling sad or mad,

everynight someone thinks of you before they sleep

and you mean a world to someone..

SO, PUT ON A SMILE....! ^_^

First Kiss

That moment

when you kiss that someone,

everything around you

becomes hazy.

The only thing you can focus is

you and that person.

And, when you realise that person is

the only one you want to kiss for the rest of your life,

for one moment,

you get this amazing gift.

You want to laugh and

you want to cry at the same time,

because you feel so lucky

that you found it

and so scared that it will go away

all at the same time.

Smile :]

Itz Wednesday morning. I just woke up and don't know what to do yet. Anyway as usual I was online gazing the net to absorb fuel for my cells for the day. And here is what I found interesting:-

Eyes used to be windows to the soul. Now they're windows to the world.

Prof. Shree Nayar along with Ko Nishino began the work in March 2003 to create a system to capture and analyze the evanescent pictures displayed on our own little ocular movie screens. "the Eye Cam" ! Their "corneal imaging system" seems at first rather prosaic: basically it involves using a high-resolution digital camera to snap a close-up of a face. The real action takes place when the image is downloaded to the computer: sophisticated software isolates the circular area around the iris called the limbus, where a film of tear fluid over the cornea reflects the world like a clear midsummer lake. From there it's possible to lift a wide-angle view of the person's surroundings when the shot was snapped. For more please go here.

Stop Drugs

Well I heard a conversation today that someone wants a spot to bitch or brag about drugs.....well I have the balls to post it!!!!!!

I am very very clear about drugs. I don't see a need for it.

Now to those who smoke up or snort up with there kids home running laps around them.......I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR!!!!!!!!

I have no respect for those who go spenging diaper/milk/bill money on there habbit. A night out once and a while with a few extra un-needed money after bills and stuff are payed for then ok, your call.

But then if your into the hard stuff (with or without kids) again the respect-o-meter droped down ohhhhh ALL THE WAY!!!!

SO I guess you can say when you get A night out, with no responsibility's once and a while with a few extra un-needed money after bills and stuff are payed for then ok, your call, its all good.........but when it starts interfearing with rasing your kids or taking over your life.......GROW UP!

it's like drinking....a night out with no responsibility's and not diping into your food/bill money then its all in fun......BUT you start drinking at home with the kids playin in the other room and you are letting bills and crap slide.....GROW UP!!

To anyone that is in a relationship with someone addicted to anything......try to get them out of it or walk away because it slowly starts playing games with your life. Even if you yourself never touch it.....your partner gets going and its hard to stop them because it starts off slow and they add an etra night a week, oh lets wait for this bill cause moneys coming in again before its actually due to be paied and before you know it your one of them people I have no respect for and you walk around like "how did this happen?"

As soon as you see it go from the odd night of fun to a every night or every 2nd-3rd night.....put your foot down and turn it around!!!!! Its not hard to make changes, however its hard to walk away from your loved one because its gotten to far and there to used to it and your head tells you this isn't the way.

Personally, I don't really have much problems on my own as I've pretty much sorted it and my thoughts out. I know what I want and what I have to do, in and with my life. Right now I just want to do spend time with my friends, have happy days for I rather have more happy memories than sad memories as it last longer. After all memories are lessons we learn in life.

On another note, my brother was telling me about our super hero Spider Man getting ready to

swing above streets choked with rickshaws and scooters in Mumbai, India.
