Hellboy as the name suggest it is 'hell" of a movie, expectations" may be the key here. Simply because it does not have a typical comic-book hero cinematic treatment. I enjoyed the subtle humor most of which was scripted to Hellboy -- like taking counsel on his love relationship with Liz Sherman( Selma Blair she looks old by the way..) from a young boy over cookies and milk. It is quite different, watch it for yourself!
