SLEEP...funny, how the mind works when unable to sleep. It’s been suggested that a way to avoid or escape from getting mired in our own dark thoughts is to consider all that we have to be grateful for, but often take for granted. It’s also an exercise of our humanity to increase our empathy for those with true difficulties... like my fellow Tamils in Sri Lanka!
So, I try to be grateful for the things I have. A home, comfortable bed and pillow…food (more than I need). I have a great job in the financial field where people’s lives can be greatly improved. Family, friends and colleagues. I don’t live in a war zone or a refugee camp. So you see, there is a lot to be grateful for.
