Jeep: A registered trademark of
Chrysler Corporation Division, offers the all- new entry in the full-size SUV segment Commander offering: the 335-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 with the Multi-Displacement System, the 235-horsepower 4.7-liter Power Tech V8, and the 3.7-liter SOHC Power Tech V-6 engine.
Lexus: The next-generation Lexus IS challenging both the Infiniti G35 and the BMW
330i comes out later this year with 3.5-liter V6, the new sport sedan will have more than 300 horsepower, a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters will be standard has no Stick shift :( booo !
Volkswagen:

Bugatti brings in
the next-generation Passat, longer & wider, 3.6-liter narrow-angle V6 that produces an impressive 280 horsepower, teamed with a six-speed Tiptronic the 3.6 will spawn an all-wheel-drive Passat 4Motion. Also expect the “new" New Beetle.
Bavarian Motor Works :
3-Series debuts with an all-new design that blends 3-Series character with new styling elements from the 7-Series and the 5-Series, offers a nearly ideal blend of sportiness, luxury, and safety. The redesigned sedan should have agile handling and smooth 3.0-liter engines powered by a 255-horsepower, 220 lb-ft of torque. Also expected to arrive stateside this fall is the 500-horsepower M5 sport sedan, followed shortly thereafter by its M6 sibling.
Honda: The first Japanese manufacturer to produce cars in the U.S brings out their eighth-generation model CIVIC with all - new fancy look. One of the best small sedans, great fuel economy 1.8-liter single overhead cam 4 cylinder with a new generation of i -VTEC. Horsepower is 140, up 10 to 21 percent from the 2005 Civic engines, while maximum torque now is 128 lb-ft at 4300 rpm, up 12 to 16 percent from the predecessor Civics.
The Civic Si, which comes only with a 6-speed manual and no automatic
offers 2.0-liter double overhead cam 4 cylinder with i -VTEC is the most powerful ever for Civic. It generates 197 horses, up 23 percent from the 2005 Civic Si. Torque peaks at 139 lb-ft at 6200 rpm, which is up only 5 percent from its predecessor.
To sum it up what makes 2006 different is the sheer number of all-new performance, or "tuner" versions, coming from some of my favourite models.
