I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one  ~ John Lennon

I just didn't know what else to say but WHAT THE BLOODY HELL!!!? As I was scrolling thru my daily routine of Google news. I came across this: 5-year-old boy shoots 2-year-old sister in Ky.

I am aware that the gun-nuts reaction to this statement would be "Guns don't kill people. People kill people" And I'll stay up all night to argue otherwise except in this incident alone only because this 5 year old was taught how to use a deadly weapon, but not about it's real danger and the permanence of death. The gun was KEPT loaded and accessible to an unattended boy, age 5, who is innocent, no matter what happened.

It seems people these days have this low level of mental awareness, lack of intelligence, and generally neglectful behavior than to be permitted to own guns. How many you ask? At least one, and that is TOO MANY!

But yet what does our law says; we need more guns in the hands of people like these parents, so that in case the tyrannical government comes after their guns, they can shoot each other before the tanks arrive!!

I personally am convinced that it is a sin to claim that people who are diagnosed as mentally ill need more help to prevent gun violence. It is nothing but a huge cash cow for the stunningly powerful and wealthy lobby groups for therapists.

To begin with, people diagnosed as mentally ill are not statistically more likely to be violent. It is especially amazing that this is the case, because increasingly, when someone is charged with a violent crime, therapists are brought in to diagnose them as mentally ill, so there is an apparent but actually artifactual (alleged), increasing correlation of being diagnosed with committing violence.

So, do we assume people who are upset, bereaved, frightened, etc., by life events as mentally ill? No. Only by a therapist's diagnosis! It is crucial to be aware of the fact that to reduce violence, we cannot allow the money of the NRA, the drug companies, and the mental health lobby groups to dictate what we do! Period!!!!

I am trying to figure out the reasoning's behind my impatience.. the overwhelming brain functions with all the potential subject matter swarming through my head! If one could have a panic attack at the mere thought of blogging then that is what I am experiencing right this second! It is 5 AM and I literally have to step away from my computer in an effort to calm the sudden rapid fire of circuitry within my brain.

It is funny, I have been wanting to post for more than a week now.. but been putting it aside and today when I am sitting down here in front of my PC at 5 in the morning I am experiencing this!!

It’s ludicrous! The thoughts – like young children vying for the undivided attention of its mother – clamor above each other. Ricocheting off my frontal lobes is a battle of prospective subject candidates endeavoring to be heard by me. Whichever emotion, thought, unasked question, or unspoken deed to ultimately capture my notice is then allowed the privilege of being expressed through the written word.

The creation of my blog! To me, a personal diary, some to be understood only by me. Reminding me; I am still a Jiva not free of Maya. Yet here I am reaching(trying) out to my Atma... the ME not tied to a body or earthly existence in any way.

Gadget Update!!

Howdy Guys???? I hope things are well and sound. I have been quite busy with work which I believe you do not want me write about. So instead let me talk about my NEW Phablet (cell phone + tablet) and some other cool gadgets I gifted myself ;)

1st -
Samsung Galaxy Note II

So yeah, I got another new cell phone. Pretty cool I should say as this phablet is superb and just by fetching the thing out of my pocket at work I have managed to sway many of my colleagues in favor of Samsung for their next cell phone up-date. It seems every every one wants a piece of the action.

1 - It is an upgrade from my Note 1!!!

2- It's BIG. Big for gaming, big for videos, big for web browsing. Simply put, if you want a phone with the most real estate on the screen size, then there is no alternative. Don't be so mesmerized on the 1080p screens that will come out soon. Unless you want to destroy your eyes and use the phone from an inch away, you will not notice the difference in everyday use.
3- It's fast. Yes, the Qualcomm S4 Pro quad-core beats this Tegra 3/Exynos 4 CPU in most benchmarks, but again, unless you are a hard-core geek that is OCD on numbers, you will not notice any difference in everyday use. There is no discernible lag anywhere (it's probably just your slow Internet connection).
4- It's beautiful. Not HTC or Sony beautiful, but this is one sleek and stylish phone. The white is classic, but this Titanium Gray is awesome. Just check out the back cover and you will see what I mean (yes, even with that cheap-feeling plastic material).
5- Did I mention the screen? It's BIG, it's bright, and it's beee-ay-eeww-ti-ful! AMOLED screens have awesome color saturation and contrast (most times even overkill, actually). Some people say it's not good in daylight. Um, have you tried cranking up the brightness??
6- The Samsung/Android touch. Not everyone may like Samsung's Touchwiz user interface compiled onto Android, but I dare you to find a phone with more features than this one (and similarly the Galaxy S3). Here are the main highlights:
a. Samsung utilizes the front facing camera almost to perfection. You can use it to control your music player; it has facial recognition to sense you are directly in front of the screen so it won't dim and turn off the screen (for reading, web browsing, video playback, etc.); it recognizes your facial orientation so that when you are lying down sideways looking at the screen, the accelerometer will not kick in to auto-rotate the screen in the wrong orientation. That is something that has always bothered me with other phones and FINALLY someone has added that feature! Granted, not all these features work flawlessly, but it's a great start.
b. Integration with Google is finally starting to show off in good ways. It was always once that Apple had the superior ecosystem. But now we see the future is bright indeed. Not just evolution, but finally innovation!
c. The S Pen and all the neat things you can do with it. Preview a point in the movie before skipping to that point, and other things like going old-school back to the PDA days!
7- It accepts up to a 64GB microSD card.

Musical Showerhead - Kohler Moxie

Music when I am showering!! I think that alone is enough to make this a COOL product, a must have for me!I love it. The idea behind this product is ingenious. The only complaint I have is the water pressure. It is not horrible, just a bit low. It is less than what I got from my regular shower head but not low enough too make me go back. I love that I can pair it with my playlist from my phablet.

It was very easy to pair with my phablet and anything else with Bluetooth. To pair just press the button on the device and then clicked on the moxie on my phone and it was ready to go. Once I charged it up i put it in my shower and it was ready to go.

Vishwaroopam

More than, the ban of Vishwaroopam, I have become a little tired of the efforts for "high production value" in recent years. It seems like many Indian, especially south film making "pundits" see this as meaning "special effects" more than anything else. The number of movies that are just high quality works with good actors and a strong plot and few extra, unneeded frills seems to have greatly decreased in the last couple of decades.

Good movie, specifically cinematography is not just about ‘eye‑candy’, but about giving substance and meaning to what’s on screen, using technology, skill and artistic expression.  It’s not even just about careful framing and high production values: matching up ‘moods’ and ‘feels’ is arguably even more important. And Vishwaroopam is one such movie with outstanding cinematography & audio-graphy brought together in a brilliant way by Dr. Kamal Haasan!

A hope?

Fulfillment is difficult to attain if not impossible, but living the moment is. This heart of mine restrained, bottled up, suppressed, choked back thinks of the heart of yours unleashed, crazy for, in love, attached; (does) our unrequited love yearns on...

A hope?
