So one of my good friend is getting back with his girl. They seem to be back in form and seeks togetherness for eternity! Here, wishing 'em all the more. Talking about love and marriage, what do you guys think about long distance love? It has to be the ultimate genuine love!!! I mean, here, in this part of the world we have gf and bfs cheating on each other with the other half being around. Thought it also happens back home, it is a rarity. But what about long distance love? The one with the physical barrier. What’s the hardest part of a barrier of love?

First let me say; I am not judging but questioning. We look for happiness in a person; not to say that is unhealthy but the problem is we expect someone to make us happy. By doing so we set ourself up to be hurt because of our expectations! As our natural state of mind is generally self-centered, we tend to seek love that is visionary. By saying that I mean often times one wants to be welcomed when coming in and wants to be received. Physical(self)love.

But again, selfishness is exactly the problem that we have as people. One of the problems that we have when somebody brings correction to us, we tend to imagine that correction as so out of the ordinary, so unusual, so above and beyond what’s appropriate. And it’s very difficult often for us to receive correction because we tend to camp out in a sense that, “Hey, I’m doing pretty good and I’m trying hard.” And of course we really underline the phrase, “I’m trying hard.” So when some criticism comes against us, there’s an offense because we say, “Well you don’t see how hard I’m trying and you’re just making this cut and dry statement criticizing me and...” So we tend to operate out of selfishness and selfishness means self-interest. To doubt is human, and all of us at some time or the other have experienced irrational doubts. But instead of succumbing to your doubts, learn from them by resolving.

Did anyone realise how fashionably sunglasses are, if used in the right proper way ? I am not talking about the casual sunglasses you use out of comfort, but the ones you wear for finishing your look. Subramani and Bhairav have ;)

Sivaji & A R R in VA

"SIVAJI"

Rajinikanth, who has an intense face, a tremendous screen presence, has been made fun of by Shankar, a worthless (sarrakku illatha) namesake director. I am furious to have paid $$$$$20 to watch his trash. Sivaji' turns out to be a rehash of all his previous jingoistic claptrap efforts. Repeated (again sans sarrakku) Matrix style (Morpheus) for the fight scenes. Illogical and beyond reality ways to turn black money to white money and such nonsense. On the whole this movie is a disappointment to the 2 years expectations and hype created. I feel sorry for our Super Star.

As for the A R Rahman Concert, surprisingly it was good. A lot better than the last time around. Some pictures from the VA concert below.

More details later..

Pennai santhiththen,
Aval natpai yasithen
Aval panbai nesiththen
Verenna nan solla... Oh.... yea

That is a really inspiring song… musically too ;)

Love songs are wonderful when they come to express and deepen our sentiments for a partner. But they become an obstacle to true love and personal growth when they make romance the object and the partner merely a means to an end. But here, The combination of Ramesh Vinayagam 's deep, rich vocals and his shimmering strings/cello work that gives the song much of its almost mysterious, evocative, soothingly narrative sound.

Ocean's 13

Well, I went to see O13 with couple friends over the weekend and have to say:I think they squeezed out another sequel just for the sake of having a trilogy and to make some more money. There were only a couple laughs to be had. The characters, while cool and collected as ever, feel grossly under used with the exception of Matt Damon. A lengthy sub-plot, Mission Impossible type heist. All in all, not much of an improvement than the previous 2 movies. However, the last thirty-five or so minutes of the film were quite enjoyable. Watch it for yourself :)

My prayers go out to (Shankar,Ramya&Sri) your Chittappa (Uncle) and his fight with cancer. The only true healer in the world is love and faith and it looks like he is surrounded by both.

God Bless!

**May he rest in peace!**

I am well aware of the fact that "labelling" is what everyone does. If you want to be a friend of everyone...you will end up being a friend of no one. .

If you’re sacrificing yourself for friendships which would never exist if you hadn’t changed your personality, are these friendships worth having? I, personally is not willing to sacrifice myself in the name of extending my circle of friends. I’ve come to realize that perhaps there are people who’ll never see eye-to-eye, who’ll never be able to be your true friends. I understand this to be an unending debate. For friendship is; compromise as much as self-worth is individuality.I do not need to tell you that in life, change is constant. Things are always dissolving, diluting, dying. Thus one can either race against time in an effort to accomplish as much as possible "squeeze it all in" which can be fun and exhilarating but ultimately can wear you out. Or ride life’s ever-charging flow by learning to relax, surrender, and let go, you realize that stillness is a magnet for contentment. What ever that you choose when it comes to friendship, I think that by not telling your friend how you really feel, you are doing a great disservice to yourself and your friendship. Boy, I tell you these days, you just don't even know who to trust! But TRUST one friend who slanders- to be your not true friend.
