Regular readers of the blog will know that I post on technology topics occasionally, and today is one of those occasions.

There are two types of recordable DVD Media DVD-R (DVD-Recordable)
and DVD-RW (DVD-Rewritable. While prerecorded DVDs are pressed from a mold, recordable compact discs are actually burned with a laser, which is why the process of recording to DVDs is known as burning. DVD-R disks can only be recorded once. Once you create a DVD using a DVD-R disc you cannot add, delete or modify. DVD-RWs can be erased and rewritten to, but you cannot add information without erasing the contents first.

DVD Movies have always been the best choice for video enjoyment. Its excellent video and audio quality is superior to any other video and audio files. However, DVD movies are usually costly and not easy to play. Do you want to enjoy your favorite DVD movie on your iPhone, iPad, iPod, common mobile phone or other video players? How to make a copy of your important DVD disc? DVDfab will help you realize these imagines. With its help, you can make your watchable on your computer or smartphone anywhere and anytime. Now let’s know more about this best DVD Ripper.

DVDfab, one of the Top DVD Ripper software, can easily rip/clone DVD Movies to make your own with a blank DVD. This DVD Ripper also can rip DVD to HD video with best quality in a short time. You can enjoy your DVD files on PSP, iPod, iPhone, iPad (iPad 2), Zune, BlackBerry, Creative Zen, Apple TV, Xbox, NDS, Mobile Phone, etc with this best DVD Ripper software on hand.

The Basics of Ripping/Burning
The first thing you need to do is download DVDfab - free trial software that allows you to ‘rip’ the DVD.
Second; make sure you have a PC with Windows and a DVD burner (optical drive that records DVD-R/DVD-RW), burning DVDs is incredibly easy.
It’s simply a matter of performing “save as” or “drag and drop” file operations like you would save files to a floppy or the hard drive.
Using Windows 7 or XP, when you first insert a blank DVD into your DVD recorder drive, Windows opens a dialog box asking you if you want to open a writable DVD folder.
With the folder open, you can drag and drop files and/or directories into it.
Windows makes a copy of these files in a special staging area until it is time to burn the DVD, and displays a list of the contents waiting to be recorded.

Avoid using low-quality media
Don’t waste your time and money with crappy DVDs.  If you want to burn error-free, you have to invest in quality blank DVDs.  You can find many reasonably priced quality blank DVD discs over the internet or at respectable retail stores in your area.  Also, randomly inspect the disc you buy.  Look for any spots or cracks.  Because they are massively produced, faulty discs could pass quality control undetected.
Always clean your DVD Drive
Avoid burning DVDs with a dusty DVD burner.  Buy a lens cleaning disc to regularly clean your DVD burner drive, especially if you often burn DVDs.
Don’t overwork your computer
Every time you burn DVDs, make sure that your computer is focused on this procedure alone. DVD burning is a resource-intensive process and multi-tasking can cost you more time rather than saving it. You can help your PC by turning off your screen saver and wallpaper.  Closing all applications that could eat up valuable resource during burning will greatly help in the quality and speed of the entire process.

Now if all this is not enough; get this -  DVDfab can also rip Blu-Rays!!!!
